Conservatory of Music

Every day, I am astounded by our students' dedication to creative exploration and technical mastery.

This past year, the Concert Choir took that dedication on the road. On their way to perform at the historic Fourth Presbyterian Church in Chicago, they stopped at high schools in Milwaukee and Chicago to work with young musicians. In March, they joined Viking Chorale and Cantala at the Holland Performing Arts Center in Omaha, representing Lawrence on one of the region's most prestigious stages. Transformative experiences like these are the result of hard work and dedication on the part of our faculty and staff, but they are only made possible through your support.

The Lawrence experience is unique because here, students are empowered to be their best creative selves and to discover and refine their unique musical voices. Lawrence exists to break down barriers that separate students from their goals, musical and otherwise, and to enhance the community bonds that are a natural product of humanistic endeavors conducted with integrity and humility. These are the values reinforced for conservatory students in the rehearsal room, in the teaching studio, and onstage.
